Game Ideas

Concept & Design, December 2023 – Present (In Progress)

Inventing and developing three video game ideas:

  • A border patrol inspection simulation game taking place in present day — inspired by:
  • Raoi, a card game whose name is a double entendre:
    • It is of a similar name to the card game Mao. The M is replaced with an R to stand for "referee." The idea for this card game to be a video game version of Mao by replacing points of order with a referee.
    • It is an acronym for the phrase "Rogue Acts of Insanity," which is one that very much describes the nature of Mao.
  • Lego City Undercover 2, an action-adventure game that would be a sequel to Lego City Undercover which was re-released and remastered in 2017:
    • Lego City Undercover is generally accepted as one of the best Lego games out there by Lego video game fans and reviewers for its large world and well-written original story.
    • The game is based on the Lego City themed toy-line and is noted for how great it is despite not being based on a licensed property like most other Lego games.
    • Lego City Undercover 2 would utilize more recent Lego City sets for an expanded, fresh, and more detailed open-world experience, as well as some new characters that would allow for 4 player multiplayer.
    • Currently utilizing documents, spreadsheets, and visuals for the game design.

I intend to utilize Unreal Engine and C++ to create a proof of concept for each of the above. However, this is all a work in progress.

Video Game, September–December 2022

Created 3D Pokémon catching game in Unity. Utilized C#. Implemented various game mechanics, including player control, enemy behavior, spawning, animations, game AI, etc.

Created 2D resource management/survival game in Unity. Group project. Utilized C#. Coded/designed sounds, scripts, and UI.

Contributions: Player Class, Item Selection & Refreshing, Item Details in Inventory UI, Daily Updates for Player, All Audio, Crafting Failure Rates, Resource Notifications (Gaining, Losing, Crafting), Missions Enemy, Missions Level Descriptions & Difficulty
